Director Online Marketing (Atlanta)
The Director of Online Marketing will be responsible for developing, managing and optimizing online marketing programs. Working with marketing, creative and merchandise teams, this position focuses on driving online sales, profitability, customer acquisition and brand awareness. The Director of Online Marketing will be responsible for goal-setting, budgeting, strategy development and implementation. This position will report to the VP of Marketing and will manage a web team of 3-6 people.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and manage internet marketing strategies to ensure revenue and profitability goals are met Increase monthly site traffic, drive business growth and client acquisition
Oversee online marketing budget and annual planning via all channels
Lead and direct the work of a web marketing team including cross-functional IT collaboration
Develop and oversee email program, Pay per Click campaigns, affiliate web marketing program and banner ad placement campaigns
Recommend and lead implementation of additional online marketing tools to drive traffic and increase sales conversions
Oversee success of product campaign launches, web merchandising and product placement on the website to create a compelling product story
Guide the company’s overall social media strategy and approach
Initiate multiple short and long-term projects focused on improving user experience and driving web sales
Effectively manage team workload by leading promotional calendar and launches of marketing campaigns
Oversee daily content, creative and new functionality deployments
Track and provide data analysis to include web sales trends, web sales performance and email metrics, as well as test results and provide recommendations for improvement to increase productivity
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
BA/BS required 7+ years experience in managing online marketing and e-commerce strategy, with strong understanding of internet-based consumer behavior and marketing principles
Proven track record of utilizing web sales tools to increase revenue on a consumer focused e-commerce web site
Prior management experience and track record of team development
Highly self-motivated and adaptable with the ability to thrive under pressure
Proficient in Microsoft applications with a strong technical aptitude, including some understanding of basic web programming language (HTML)
Knowledge of website development project life cycle and experience collaborating technical teams to implement your vision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong problem-solving, decision-making and time-management skills Must be a creative individual and have an in-depth knowledge of today’s fashion and creative culture
