WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: The E-Commerce Operations Business Analyst we are looking for is a driven, analytical and organized Internet professional that understands how to document, manage projects, and analyze the implementation and ongoing maintenance of website features and functionality. This person will work directly with Internet Operations team members to develop business requirements documentation and help project manage various implementations with web development teams. In addition, this position will execute user acceptance testing prior to any project going live to ensure it meets the project requirements.
Assist Website Operations and User Experience leads in all support tasks associated with web technology implementations including documenting business requirements, identifying system interdependencies and creation of wire frames.
Monitor web e-commerce systems to ensure proper operation and prevention of potential issues using reoccurring reports and web analytics tool Coremetrics.
Conduct tests to ensure website is working properly and document results for business acceptance testing prior to code releases.
Create and run user acceptance test cases and scripts.
Manage communications between project owners, creative and development teams to ensure project objectives and deadlines are met.
Document project progress including implementation, timelines, issues, risks, and successes to keep projects on schedule.
Participate as needed or required in regular or special meetings with business, creative and web development teams to address project strategies, integration, progress and/or issues.
Perform longitudinal reviews and analysis of web systems to ensure operational successes and identify opportunities for maximizing revenue.
Project manages and participates in the implementation of new and improved web features.
BA/BS required. Concentration in marketing, business, computer science or math/statistics strongly preferred.
Solid understanding of web e-commerce systems and how they operate.
4+ years e-commerce experience with 1-3 years experience in requirements documentation, tracking and managing web projects; Internet retail experience highly desired.
Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects of varying sizes simultaneously from initiation to launch.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project milestones.
Web Analytics understanding and experience using tools such as Omniture or Coremetrics
Excellent written and communications skills.
