HR Generalist

Turner Broadcasting has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist based in our Midtown Atlanta office. As a partner supporting the Sports division, the HR Generalist will deliver HR services to their respective client groups and generally support employees, front-line managers, and directors (with a particular focus on employees). The Generalist is responsible for implementing human resources policies, programs and practices to include staffing, training, performance management, and compensation. The Generalist will also: partner with the HR Manager and Compensation to drive annual compensation and performance review processes; lead project management efforts; communicate and inform employees of HR initiatives; and ensure programs are aligned with the culture of the business unit. Additional responsibilities will include managing employee relations matters and coordinating intern programs.

Under the general guidance of a senior HR professional, the HR Generalist provides coaching and counseling to management on leadership and employee development issues. This may include: initial intake of employee relations matters; counseling employees on internal and external training options for their professional development and growth; partnering with the Professional Development Center on providing solutions to meet client training needs, providing metrics and analysis on learning trends; and partnering with Talent Management to brainstorm ideas for small group facilitation, focus groups, resources, and tools. The Generalist will also partner with HR Technology to assist in identifying technology solutions or process improvements.

Qualifications: Minimum 5 years related experience as a Human Resources professional to include responsibility for or exposure to employee relations, recruiting, learning and development, compensation, policy input/development, and benefits. Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resources, or related field required; Masters Degree in related field and/or PHR Certification a plus. Must have strong MS Excel and Word skills, as well as prior experience utilizing an HRMS (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.). Experience in Broadcasting/Entertainment industry and/or business experience outside of HR strongly preferred. Prior experience working with and influencing clients in a matrixed corporate environment also a plus.
