Under general supervision provides overall human resources support for the day-to-day operations of the PPS HR team. This includes administrative and analytical work of moderate to considerable difficulty.
This position reports directly to the Director, Human Resources and will interact with all levels of staff and employees at all facilities and corporate offices.
•System administration responsibility for several HR-related tools, including performance management, headcount management, payroll, etc.
•Project Management & Reporting – employee data, letters, benefit comparisons, providing documentation by employee, data analysis, and follow-up on information.
•Employee data management – including, but not limited to new hires, terminations, employee status changes, benefits, etc.
•Assists HR Advisor & HR Directors with recruiting as requested – processing background checks and pre-employment physicals; notification to Hiring Managers on status of candidates; sending `new hire’ paperwork to the candidate and follow-up to ensure arrival in a timely manner and is returned correct and complete; creating and updating employee files.
•Health/Welfare Benefits – Answering employee questions and resolving issues and/or communicating with centralized benefits team on a regular basis, managing information and submitting the weekly benefits template, and providing updates.
•Administration of the Canadian benefits; enrollment forms, communicating with the providers, maintenance of files, maintenance of information, answering employees questions and providing resolution when necessary.
•Handling requests for information; mortgage inquiries, unemployment forms, etc.
•Prepares government reports related to EEO compliance or other HR functions.
•Will serve as a back-up for payroll processing.

•Ability to manage time in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment
•Attention to detail; ability to compile, track and present statistics accurately; highly organized with good follow-up skills.
•Strong MS Office skills required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project) and proficiency with other Internet based applications.
•Superior verbal/written skills and presentation skills. Good punctuation, spelling, grammar and attention to detail a must.
•Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, Federal & State labor laws and regulations required.
•Ability to adhere to Company policies and procedures.
•Must be able to work independently as well as within a team environment.
Education / Experience
•Bachelors Degree required preferably in Human Resources or related field.
•Minimum of 3 years of Corporate Human Resources functional experience preferred.
•Ability to sit and work in front of a computer for extended periods of time.
•Must be able to lift 25 pounds; 50 pounds with assistance.
