Our client is one of the worlds largest hotel corporations with headquarter offices in the Eastern United States. The company features multiple highly recognizable full and limited service brands. The current portfolio includes seven brand names and over 6,000 hotel locations worldwide. The company is principally involved in franchising. They have retained us to assist in the identification and recruitment of a marketing professional to join the company and provide strategic brand leadership direction. This position will be working on initiatives involving the overall company "umbrella" brand as opposed to any one of the company’s individual hotel specific brands.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:
· Develop and direct the overarching vision, and brand positioning for the hotel company master brand.
· Become the champion and steward of branding and creative execution for the brand.
· Develop and communicate the brand vision, brand innovation, positioning, and advertising strategies.
· Spearhead the development of the company brand and insure that all individual hotel brand teams are aligned with the overall company positioning.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:
· Ten years of relevant experience in brand strategy marketing with a strong consumer brand.
· BA marketing, advertising, or communications. MBA strongly preferred.
· Strong understanding of consumer brand principals and management.
· Prior experience in the hotel/restaurant/travel industry or in consumer goods.
· Demonstrated success in developing new branding strategies and driving implementation.
