Marketing Communications Specialist – Banking and Financial Services (MARCOM)

Atlanta, Georgia – Windy Hill Area

The Marketing Communications Specialist elevates company and brand awareness, increases product
and service sales, and reinforces the company’s image by developing effective marketing and public
relations materials.

Key Responsibilities:








Creating press releases, white papers and case studies, both print and electronic
Creating sales collateral material, both print and electronic
Writing and formatting promotional email blasts and quarterly e-newsletters
Creating and distributing client surveys
Creating trade publication advertisements and by-lined articles, both print and electronic
Assisting in the development of an annual marketing plan
Managing monthly webinar education program and hosting monthly webinars
Developing content for and maintenance of website including search engine optimization
program and corporate blog
Monitoring success of all marketing content and revising materials as needed to further their
success
Creating promotional materials for annual user conference and assisting in event planning and
set up duties
Proactively identifying new opportunities for content creation or public relations
Comply with all CLIENT Information Security Policies.
Complete all security training, read ongoing security-related communications and
Acknowledge understanding of such communications as requested by Management
Complete compliance and regulatory training as requested by Management.
Immediately Report to Information Security any known or suspected leakage of
Confidential information belonging to a CLIENT customer or CLIENT.







Skill/Knowledge Requirements














Strong business writing background (portfolio required)
Experience using HubSpot or similar marketing automation/inbound marketing software
Experience using Vertical Response or similar email marketing software
Experience working with the press and trade publication advertising representatives
Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign
Experience using WebEx or other web conferencing software
Experience with social media marketing
Experience taking technical information and translating it into beneficial business information
Ability to read, analyze and interpret industry literature and journals
Ability to effectively communicate with others (verbal and written communications)
Ability to effectively work on multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to organize and manage time and projects effectively
Ability to work effectively with little supervision

Ability to work with/collaborate with senior management and sales/account management team
members on marketing activities in a consultative manner
High level of creativity
Banking/credit union/financial services industry or technology knowledge strongly favored


Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English or Marketing (or related field) from a four-year college
or university plus minimum of seven years of marketing communications experience
