> Pre-Sales Engineer / SE – Alpharetta, GA
> Overall purpose of position:
> To provide direct pre-sales support on all COMPANY services and offerings to the COMPANY sales team and prospective customers. This position requires a self-starter with an in-depth technical understanding of networking and machne-to-machine wireless data services and integration of networking technology.
> Main responsibilities:
> Provide day-to-day technical/solutions and support during the pre-sales process including directly interfacing with the Sales and Business Development teams and leadership and prospective customers
> Manage the COMPANY business management platform, PRiSMPro, demonstration and training for prospective and new customers
> Develop custom PowerPoint presentations, with help from Marketing, to support large enterprise opportunities – including developing architectural diagrams for custom integrations
> Possess a deep technical understanding of how a customer can connect to COMPANY and integrate COMPANY services into their systems and applications with a demonstrated understanding of a customer’s requirements as they relate to performance, scalability, security and redundancy
> Consult with prospects and new customers on device certification services, if necessary
> Control all aspects of RFP and RFQ responses in more complex solution sales
> Assist in crafting of customer solutions (i.e. aligning COMPANY capabilities with customer needs/requirements) during the sales process
> Work with existing customers to understand and document additions and changes to existing solution/configurations
> Document and communicate customer requirements/solution as input to COMPANY on-boarding process, including custom project plans and communications with carrier partners to facilitate device transfers from another carrier’s network to COMPANY
> Ensure the customer transitions from contract to production while at the same time ensuring the customer understands the process of interacting with the COMPANY customer support group post-transition
> Provide oversight and project control for application acceptance testing
> Ensure implementation forms (VPN, API, Device Approval) are submitted accurately with customer and then ensuring communications to other internal groups is completed for on time launch
> Support briefings to ensure rest of organization understands customer application, device, etc.
> Qualifications required:
> Bachelor’s Degree: Technical degree – prefer EE, IS or Info. Systems, Mgmt.
> 5+ years experience in sales support (or other functional role that involves technical
> understanding and interfacing with sales and customers), preferably in a pre-sales role
> Application integration experience with leading platforms and databases such as SAP, Oracle, IBM and the like
> Wireless industry and IP networking experience/experience with wireless devices desired, preferably in M2M
> In-depth M2M hardware and device knowledge
> Technical and commercial aptitude/strong ‘solutions’ aptitude
> Professional appearance/ability to interface with customers and various internal departments
> Strong written and verbal communications skills; strong presentation and demonstration skills
> Self-motivated and capable of working without a lot of direct supervision

> Self-motivated, with ability to organize and schedule events, activities and resources; sets up and monitors time scales and plans.
> Good oral and written communicator, able to clearly communicate complex technical matters in a way that results in the customer being able to process the information logically to understand the advantages of the COMPANY solution.
> Able to act as a bridge between COMPANY technical Network Services and the COMPANY Sales team.
> This position will be acting as a COMPANY representative for both departments as well as an advocate of the customers to the COMPANY teams.
> It is expected that the role has a high degree of customer interface, to multiple levels within the customer organization. This position requires a quick thinker who can actively decipher customer needs, work through the customer’s request, and explain the COMPANY solution while remaining poised and collected under pressure. Due to the nature of this position and the direct inter-facing with the customer, this person must have the highest personal integrity and understand how to deal with customer needs.
