HR Generalist

One of our clients located in Midtown has an HR Generalist opening. Pay will be around $48,000. This is a direct hire position. Must haves for the position are:* Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.* Three to five years of related experience in human resources practices, benefits administration, and HR systems. * Prior experience in writing job descriptions.* Thorough knowledge of human resources operations required.* Advanced knowledge and understanding of employee benefits principles and practices, documentation and tracking procedures, billing and open enrollment procedures. * Knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to employee benefits, worker’s compensation, FMLA, COBRA, and IRS regulations.
* Excellent organization and time management skills; demonstrated flexibility with focus on providing excellent customer service; strong communication skills (including verbal, written and interpersonal) are essential.
* Accuracy and attention to detail are a must.* Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and use of the internet for research. * Superior analytical and problem solving skills. * Demonstrated high standards of ethics and integrity. * Production of quality work with accuracy is a must. * Demonstrated ability to follow up and follow through on requests and meet deadlines in a timely manner is essential. * Ability to systematically identify and define problems, evaluate alternative solutions and implement effective solutions. * Evaluating positions and compensation is a plus.
